HISTORY
The name Idrisiyyah was attributed to one of the Idrisiyyah murshid named Sheikh Ahmad bin Idris Ali al-Masyisyi al-Yamlakhi al-Hasani (1760-1837), one of the Mujaddid (Neo Sufism) who came from Morocco (Magribi).

Sheikh Ahmad bin Idris is known as a figure of Ulama who succeeded in combining the two aspects of birth (shari'ah) and mind (essence). He is also known as a reformer in the world of Sufism of mysticism such as superstition khurafat and others.

The Idrisiyyah Order was brought to Indonesia by Sheikh Akbar Abdul Fattah in 1932. He received it from Sheikh Ahmad Sharif as-Sanusi (1875-1933) in Jabal Qubais (Mecca) and studied for 4 years. Since its entry into Indonesia during the colonial period, this Congregation has experienced 4 (four) leadership. Currently the leadership of the tarekat is held by Syek Akbar Muhammad Fathurahman, M.Ag.
